Obi loves his visits to Home Animal Care whether it’s for the day or an overnight stay. He gets very excited when he sees Catherine, Nicky and all the other dogs and can’t wait for his stay! We feel relaxed knowing animal experts Catherine and Nicky are looking after him really well and also have given us lots of advice on dog ownership. Obi returns home happy and relaxed following his great visit!

We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Dash).
We had planned to go on holiday quite a while before we had Dash and so when the time arose for our holiday we were naturally very concerned as to where Dash could go. The breeder had advised us that Cavaliers do not like kennels and that a home environment would be far better. We found Catherine's details on the National Petsitters website and arrangements were made to visit with Dash.
Dash is part of our family and it was clear to see that Catherine's own dogs and those she looks after are very important to her, this made us feel very confident to leave Dash with Catherine knowing that he would be very well cared and loved, even allowing him to sleep on the family bed just like he does at home.

The last site we saw of Dash when we went on our holiday was him being carried in Catherine's arms with his tail wagging away -
he didn't even look back at us, much to our dismay. On his return home he was very quiet, after so much dog company at Catherine's we think he was lonely and missing his holiday home. Now whenever we go near Catherine's house in the car Dash becomes very excited expecting another adventurous weekend. In short we have no hesitation in recommending Catherine as a petsitter.
She is a genuine animal lover.

Last year we moved into the area and suddenly found we needed to find someone to walk our dog Billy, luckily for us Catherine was advertising in the parish news. We made a quick phone call to her and she arranged to visit us at home and meet Billy. On this visit she explained all about her service, costs etc. and introduced her sister Nicole who also helps out sometimes. The very next day Catherine started walking Billy and has done so two or three times a week ever since.

Catherine has proved to be both flexible and reliable during this time and often leaves me little notes about Billy and his walks, showing genuine concern over his welfare. If Catherine needs for any reason to make changes to our arrangements eg she may need to come 15 minutes earlier she always asks if it is ok giving as much notice as possible.
All in all both Billy and I would recommends Catherine's service as being friendly, reliable and flexible.

Catherine has been our pet-sitter for nearly three years and, in that time, has cared for our two cats Albert and Ellie many times. She has shown her obvious love for animals and when we go on holiday now, we do so in the knowledge that our cats will receive the same care and attention that we give them. Since Larson (my seven year old chocolate Labrador) has been ‘holidaying’ with Catherine I have been able to go on holiday without any worries! When we first met, Catherine took great care in learning about Larson’s likes/dislikes, dietary needs, health problems and funny habits – of which there are many! He never looks back when I leave him and is always tired and happy when I collect him. The fact that I know he receives the same carefully monitored off-lead exercise as he does at home is very reassuring and I know I won’t return to the very ‘hyper’ dog that greeted me following a stay in kennels. Larson loves the home from home environment Catherine and her family provide with the added companionship of Lucy, Harry, Bella and the adorable Florence. I cannot thank her, or indeed recommend her enough!

Catherine has walked Rupert our Afghan Hound for the past four years, starting when he was a young puppy. Catherine is totally in tune with Rupert, his funny habits, such as, stopping dead when a twig has got stuck in his coat, trying to fly when he spots a pigeon on a telegraph pole, but also knowing when he is off colour. As far as we are concerned, Catherine has done over and above the call of duty since being introduced to Rupert.

Catherine is totally reliable and trustworthy, If ever we need to change our plans or add some extra visits, we have always found her very obliging and flexible, Catherine gives us peace of mind and confidence that not only Rupert and our cats, but also our home, is in safe hands. There is also the knowledge that any problems which may arise, will be dealt with calmly and responsibly.

When we first contacted Catherine we were impressed by her professionalism and the attention to detail regarding our dog and her particular needs. Tully (our 5 year old Chocolate Labrador) took to Catherine immediately and I had little doubt that she would experience a home from home. Our Vizsla experienced a slipped disc earlier this year. I reported a concern with Catherine early in the morning and she responded asap upon her visit. Between us our beautiful Vizsla was at Dick Whites and all sorted within a week. Catherine stayed with my Vizsla until I managed to get home. All above and beyond the call of duty.

We have been taking Tango, our Cocker Spaniel, to Home Animal Care twice a year for over 5 years now and it has been one of the best decisions we have made for her. After two traumatic trips to kennels in her first year, we wanted somewhere where we could leave her knowing that she would be as settled and as cared for as she would be at home. Catherine provides all that and so much more - she even sends updates on how she is settling in each time! Tango literally drags us up the path to Catherine's front door on day one (quite a contrast from the kennels!) and comes back energised and happy after a week of brisk walks and lots of doggy company. We first met Catherine when Tilly our Jack Russel was just a pup and very much our baby so were very dubious about leaving her. We found Catherine and on our first meeting walked our dogs together and we just knew that Tilly would be fine. Catherine was professional, knowledgeable but most importantly very affectionate with Tilly. That was 13 years ago, Tilly still has 3 or 4 holidays a year with Catherine and absolutely can’t wait to get there. So much so as soon as she sees a packed suitcase she whines until we get there, we have now taken to hiding our packed suitcases!! Four years ago we wanted to introduce another dog into our family and with lots of advice from Catherine about breeds and temperaments decided on a Giant Schnauzer. Catherine how now been looking after her too for the last few years. They could not be happier in fact are a little sad when they get back.
Although Catherine has moved around an hours drive away from us now we would still rather do the two hour round trip to know that our dogs are so happy. They do always come back looking and smelling absolutely gorgeous too.
